Dear Friend,
Training for your first
marathon? Let me give you the mental confidence
to
beat the odds and
finish strong on race day!
- Does the marathon distance (26.2 miles)
feel a
little intimidating?
- Are you
worried about injuries and training mistakes?
- Running on a busy schedule?
- Have you been previously injured?
Doubts
like this go through every new runner's mind and SHOULD NOT keep you
from sticking to your resolution to run a marathon.
In just a moment I'm going to tell you about
the powerful system
I use for running marathons and staying injury free while
having a lot of fun in the process.
I have taught smart training
principles to thousands of people just like
you -empowering
them to run their first marathon or half marathon.
Here
is a Testimonial That Came to My Inbox on January
16th
"Hey Angie and Trevor, Just
wanted to let you know, that by following your podcast, and your half
marathon training guide, I
finished my first half marathon today with an Official
Time of 2:01:39.. Thank you so much!"
-Dave from Florida
|
That's not all, Dave felt so stoked that he
immediately signed up
for two more half
marathons in March! Why not live life to the fullest?
Now before I tell you about my "officially
awesome" training guide let me tell you a little about myself.
My name is Angie
Spencer, registered
nurse and proud mother of three boys. I have no
natural athletic talent. I
started running to lose weight and blow off stress.
For years I wondered if I had the "right
stuff" to run a marathon. In high school I got up to
ten miles but
never any further.
After having two kids I was looking for a
way to get back in shape . . . so I started running
again.
The
dream of entering a marathon
would not go away. I knew that I MUST
TAKE ON THIS
CHALENGE to prove to myself that I could do it.
So with very little money to invest, I got
my hands on all the free information I could find on the internet.
My training plan called for six days of running per
week.
Back then I knew nothing about
mental strategies, cross-training, stretching, proper form, hydration,
nutrition, gear, long runs, tapering, and recovery.
During my training I was plagued with
injuries like shin splits, runner's knee, and lower back
pain.
I can still remember my husband taking me to the chiropractor
to get my back adjusted!
I am not a careless person. (In
fact, I think I am more cautious than most). If
I had the right information during my training I would
have followed it with precision.
I managed to get through that first marathon
but it was extremely hard.
I have since discovered the secrets to successful
marathon training (I finished my last marathon in 3 hours
and 59
minutes) while staying injury free and having a blast!
I now feel like the master of my health and
energy instead of the slave. Whenever I wish, I
can begin
training for another marathon anywhere in the world.
It is fun to watch people's reactions when I
tell
them I run marathons. Most people say, "I could
never do that!" But they are wrong.
The Truth Is. . .
ANYBODY
can run a marathon if they know what they are doing.
Many just lack confidence in their
knowledge of "how" to do it.
So I decided to write a book that removes
all the guess work.
After investing thousands of hours
of
research and interviewing top
running experts I have created a
system that will help a
new runner train the right way.
Introducing .... The Marathon Training
Academy Official Guide to Running Your First Marathon

100% Pure Empowerment for New
Runners
This is not a book for elite athletes,
experts, or ultra runners. If
you want a sophisticated training manual filled with technical jargon
than this is not the book for you.
I am not an Olympian or
World Class
Runner. I'm just an everyday mom who loves a new
challenge. My
story proves that anyone
can run a marathon.
Knowing is half
the
battle.
My podcast "Marathon Training
Academy" has been inspiring thousands of new
runners around the world that they DO have what it takes to run
a marathon and
change their
lives.
I Must Confess . . .
MARATHONS
ARE NOT EASY!
Lance Armstrong, seven time Tour
de France winner, said, "Running
a marathon is the hardest
thing
I have ever done".
Don't listen to the websites that
claim they can make running a marathon easy. That claim is a
SALES GIMMICK!
To succeed at long distance running you must
have discipline, determination, toughness, and a good training
plan.
I
can't make your marathon training easy but I can make it efficient.
You see, I know where you are
now. Because I've been there. You want to train to be
the very best runner you can be. But you're afraid of the
time commitment involved. You may even be afraid of
experiencing the same kind of failure I did for all your hard work.
Whether it's fear of failure, time, fear of
injury, fear of hitting that "wall" at mile 20, or fear that you're
just not physically fit enough, My Official
Guide to Running Your First Marathon
will give you all the information you need to
train and cross the finish line!
No
stone will be left unturned.
All of my best tips, tricks, and secrets are revealed in this
easy to use guidebook. Keep
reading to see what you will get in this ebook . . .

I believe KNOWLEDGE IS POWER.

education available when it comes to your training.
I have
helped hundreds of people run their first marathon and I can do the
same for you.

After a
three-year battle with Lyme Disease, I
wanted to raise
awareness about the disease by running the NYC
marathon.
The only problem was that the furthest I had ever run was 10
miles.
In order to succeed I needed information - but not
just any
information, I needed
the BEST information I could find. My online
search took
me to Marathon Training Academy
and I immediately
decided this was the site for me.
Angie has developed an informational
experience with a
large online community of people who are just like me – runners who
want to
achieve their running goals and need the practical information
necessary to do
so.
At
times it was like having a personal trainer as Angie answers ALL emails
she receives. I believe I would not have had the successful
outcome I had at New
York City Marathon 2010 without the information, advice,
and
support Marathon Training Academy gave me. I can't
thank them enough!

I started seriously considering running a marathon
about 10 months ago and found the Marathon Training Academy. When I saw that Angie had written
a book I knew I had to get it.
This
book gave me the technical information to train but most importantly it
gave me the motivation
to train even when it was not convenient.
I now consider myself a marathon runner having completed two in the
last 4 months. I
qualified for the 2012 Boston Marathon in my last race and
plan to do at least one more marathon before Boston.
Thank you Angie for putting together a great guide for me to follow.
If you want to run a marathon but don't know where to start
you need to get "The Official Guide to Running Your First Marathon".
This book will
motivate you to change your life and become a marathoner!

Frequently
Asked Questions
"Can't
I Find the Information for Free Online?"
I love free information. In fact,
I give away tons of information for free on my podcast and blog.
But when it comes to your education you need to be
prepared to spend a little money. Every experienced
runner knows that a good pair of running shoes is
worth the cost. How much more should you be sure to equip
your mind with the confidence that you are training right.
"What
If I Can't Even Run 1 Mile Yet!"
That's fine! This ebook will show
you how to build up your running base before you start marathon
training. I have even helped smokers build their
running base. All the stuff I will give you on nutrition,
running form, finding the right shoes, injury prevention, stretching,
and mental motivation will be instantly usable no matter what level you
are at.
"Does This Book Work
for Half-Marathon Training?"
Of course! This ebook includes a
beginner half-marathon training plan. I wrote this book to
empower those who want to run a full marathon or a half! My
husband Trevor, a beginner, is training for his first half marathon
using my plan.
"I
Have Already Run a Marathon, Can This Book Still Help Me?"
Yes!
Maybe your last race didn't go as well as it could have, why
not be
better prepared next time? You might be missing an important
ingredient in your training.
"But
I Can't Find the Extra Time for My Training!"
The #1 problem I hear from new runners is
lack of time. That's why I have included an entire chapter on
"Finding Time to Run". Plus, you are going to
get time management tips from running experts Ben
Greenfield and Tim Borland in the full
length interviews I'm including with this ebook.

What is
the Cost of Good Training?
To
hire a personal trainer to help you prepare for your marathon would

week for
the duration of your 20
week training that would be $600 to $1,200 dollars!
You don't need to spend that kind of
money to officially kick butt at your first marathon.
Really, good training just depends on knowledge and endurance.
I can give you the knowledge and you have the endurance.
Seriously.
YOU
DO HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO RUN A MARATHON. I believe there is a
marathoner within you just waiting to be unleashed.
When you get to the starting line you will be surprised to find just
how many "non-athletic" looking people are there to compete.
Some of them are in their 70s. Some are overweight.
All of them are on an amazing journey to master their life
and
health.
